We have recently had a extension to our bungalow done by Simon and his team, from the first time Simon came to look at plans and prepare a quote we felt comfortable with him, he was spot on from day 1. Whenever he said he’d be here himself and his team were here, if for any reason they couldn’t make it there was good communication to let us know. They had some awful weather to deal with but carried on rain or shine. Simon and his team are reliable, trustworthy and very professional, clean and tidy tidied up after themselves at the end of each day. Very happy with finished work would definitely recommend to family and friends, nothing was ever too much trouble.

SI building contractors have just finished replacing a kitchen for my mother, they have done an amazing job, it looks stunning, they have taken great care in doing a beautiful job & taken great care in looking after my elderly mum as well. highly recommend them. massive thank you to Simon & his team.

Si and his team have just finished our loft conversion. Hip to gable and dormer window. Si done all the hard work of getting the scaffolding sorted and getting structural engineer to do the plans. Whereas other companies that quoted us said we would need to do this. Which is just more hassle and stress. It took a little longer to get started due to typical British weather and scaffolding company taking longer than we hoped. When he did start the job, si and his team were on it. A pretty big job, which they made look easy. Keeping us updated along every step of the way. There were times we had to wait for sub contactors he uses to do a certain job before moving onto the next step. So I did loose my rag at one point 😂lucky simon took it well and has good sense of humour. He reassured us and carried on with the job. All Simons subcontractors did a fantastic job, plumber, electrician, roofers, plasterers etc. All good hardworking, friendly people. Whenever we pointed anything out or questioned anything he was always happy to answer and explain things or sort it if needed. Ensuring everything was in line with the building regulations, ready for building inspection. They ensured it was cleaned up when they finished for the day and got rid of all the waste. Simon and his team all did an amazing job. We now have another lovely lounge, bedroom and ensuite. Or shall I say my daughter does 😉 If you’re needing a similar job done, definitely get in touch with Simon. Thank you.

Thank you so much for all the work you have done transforming our house we absolutely love it we can’t thank you enough :))))

Exceptional communications, dependability and exemplary quality of workmanship. Having sought and gained planning permission for a small downstairs Toilet and Porch extension we embarked on the task of looking for a builder. To be honest it was something that we were dreading as it can be a little bit of a shot in the dark when engaging a builder. Having searched through reviews of builders that we were aware of, we weren’t filled with confidence, as some didn’t bother calling back, others thought the job was too small and others thought it was too complicated and technical. As luck would have it I was driving down the A38 when a very smart and clean builders van came past me (I drive like Miss Daisy) and I was so struck by the cleanliness of the vehicle that I took note of the number and website of “Si Building Contractors Plymouth” and called Simon and from that point on I knew that our building project was in excellent and completely professional hands. I was concerned that perhaps the job was too small for Simon to take on as having looked at his website and the gallery of pictures, I could see that he was normally working on large Barn conversions or large extensions but he immediately put my worries to rest. Work started in February 2020 and was instantly dogged by the COVID Lockdown. We expected all work to stop but Simon kept the project on track, innovatively sourcing hard to obtain materials and meticulously planning the order of jobs to keep the build progressing forward, regardless of the restrictions placed on him by the Lockdown, whilst completely adhering to Social Distancing protocol at all times. Throughout the whole project Simon could not have been more helpful and more understanding. I work away from home a lot but Simon not only kept my Wife fully informed but he also did the same for me and was incredibly patient with the questions I would have regarding the plan. He would also be very receptive to the slight additions we made to the interior work as the Porch and Toilet took shape, additions which hadn’t occurred to us until we could actually see the space that Simon was creating for us. What impressed us the most was cleanliness of the site every day after the builders had gone home, the quality of the workmanship and the lengths that Simon would go to ensure that the new build blended into the existing property rather than looking like an add on, and now that it is complete, the new extension looks like it has always been there. Simon achieved this by going out of his way to source reclaimed tiles rather than just using what was available at the Builders Merchants, obtaining decorative bricks from around the country and matching the style of the facias and the leaded windows exactly. Just by going that extra mile Simon made an incredible difference; that is indicative of Simon’s attitude towards his work and towards us as the customer. We are over the moon with the result! If you are looking for a builder that will turn your hard saved money, your ideas, plans and dreams into a reality then Simon is your Man, I wouldn’t waste too much time looking elsewhere. If in the future we decide to have more work done on our property we wouldn’t go anywhere else now either, in fact it will be a real pleasure to engage Simon again, knowing that we are in perfectly safe and trusted hands and that the job we need doing will be done to an exceptionally high standard, on time and exactly on budget. What else could you ask for? If you have any questions or would like to discuss our experience further please do not hesitate to get our contact details from Simon. Best Regards Mark

Extremely please with the structural work Simon and his team have done for me. The team are hard working and friendly. Every evening the team cleaned and tidied up, leaving the work area spotless. Great attention to detail and high quality workmanship. I would highly recommend.

We love our new extension. Simon and his team have done a great job. Weather wasn’t always on our side, but that can’t be helped. Everyone kept telling us its a big extension, which we didn’t appreciate until the knock through happened and we saw the area we had created. A few tweaks along the way, but nothing that couldn’t be overcome. We are very happy with our new extension to our forever home.

Thank you to Simon Leon Kev Kobi Ryan Jack the electrician and Rich the plumber for our new kitchen refurbishment! Great company and respectful builders. I highly recommend them. Always there when they said and great communication. Done a great job loving our family room.

Simon and team did a great job, turning a dated kitchen and dining room into a beautiful kitchen/diner. Removing walls, making new door ways, a new window and patio doors .
